Albuquerque Association for

Gifted and Talented Students

A non-profit organization dedicated to developing one of our most precious resources — gifted and talented students.

The Albuquerque Association for Gifted and Talented Students (AAGTS) is a group of volunteers dedicated to  advocating for the needs of gifted and talented students.  This advocacy takes the form of educating school officials, teachers, parents, and students as well as working with the school district, state legislature, and congress.  AAGTS publishes four newsletters per year with articles on parenting and teaching gifted students—including special populations, holds four general membership meetings per year presenting experts in the field of gifted education, and holds an annual conference with a nationally known speaker in gifted education.

Find the brochure and forms for the 30th AAGTS Annual Conference here.

The NM Legislative Education Study Committee has requested your input on proposed changes to gifted programs.

Please read this document and email your comment.

Here is a response from AAGTS.

Why were we concerned about HB 241?
