AMC 8 Tuesday Nov 12 4PM at SYJ Elementary!

We are happy to offer AMC 8 testing to our members free of charge! AMC 8 is a fun, fast paced, 25 question, 40 minute timed test that provides an opportunity for advanced students to practice test taking skills in a no-strings-attached environment. There is no pass or fail. There are no penalties for guessing. The problems look like real life problems and most students have a hard time finishing all of the questions in the allotted time. Although AMC 8 usually targets middle school mathematics students, there is good evidence that stretching the capabilities of students by offering above grade testing can be beneficial if matched by an open minded attitude of exploration.
